The creation and giving of wedding quilts is an old Latter-Day-Saint tradition. Historically, these quilts were hand pieced works of art or hand-quilted wholecloth heirlooms. Though the tradition continues, there are few of us who have the time or even the ability to hand quilt an heirloom. But now, once again, you have the option of giving a unique and customized gift to that special couple or loved one!
As a longarm quilter, pattern designer, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I enjoy combining using my talents and skills to create these beautiful temple quilts.
Each quilt is made from a solid piece of sateen fabric--your choice of white or ecru. Sateen has a beautifuly soft and elegant sheen. I design and stitch each quilt myself on my computerized quilting machine. You can choose any temple or other design for the center and can also choose to add text, such as names and dates, right onto the quilt. Each quilt is finished with a handstitched binding.
I currently offer three size/price options:
Small / Wallhanging (45x55) = $135
Medium: Twin/Full Quilt (70x85) = $260
Large: Queen/King Quilt (95x100) = $385
